s you know, recently, I changed the website logo to look like The Sims 2. Well, The Sims 3 just released its logo, and I decided to make that change again. It didn’t take me long to think in my head how I was going to recreate the Sims 3 logo, thank goodness. It was actually very easy. It took no more than 15 layers in Photoshop.
Anyway, here it is. Click on it to see a bigger version of it. Luckily, I made it fully at 11×3 inches at 300 dpi. Please leave comments or send me an email to tell me what you think about it. I don’t want to keep changing my logo every month, and this looks good as a final one, I think. Just tell me what you think, though.

I decided to get in on the action for the Twitter Color Wars! I’m still not exactly sure what all of this is for, but I’m sure it will be a blast, whatever it is!
I’m a member of the ORANGE TEAM, BABY! Member #379, at that! You can join the Orange Team at www.ff6600.com or www.twitter.com/orangeteam. If you want to know more about the Twitter Color Wars, visit www.twittercolorwar.com or www.colorwar2008.com!
I have been asked this question so many times that it’s not even funny! I use a service called Twitter.com to follow what my friends are doing on a regular basis, and they can keep up with what I’m doing. This is all done is posts of 140 characters or less on the Twitter.com website. But you don’t have to use Twitter to stay in touch, activate your RSS feeds, your IM, your email, or your SMS txt messages to help you stay on Twitter. But no one ever understands Twitter when I explain it. So, here is “Twitter in Plain English”.
Last year was the first time I voted in the Webware 100 Awards. I had so much trouble voting, too. I had never heard of hardly any of the contestants. This year, however, I am proud to say that I was able to vote easily in every single category. I feel strongly about who I voted for, too. I highly encourage every person to vote, too. Just click on the “I voted” badge on the sidebar of the page, and you’ll be redirected to vote yourself. As far as how I voted… here we go!

Sorry, but since There are 30 contestants that I just mentioned, I will not be linking to all of them in this post. If there are any you want to know about, you will have to search for them. (I recommend Mahalo. Vote for them. :D) If you want to ask me anything about any of them, contact me via Gmail or Twitter. Sorry, I just feel very strongly about some of these people I voted for! ![]()
I’ve made my Windows machine look like a Mac! Here’s a screencap of my system.
You wanna do it to? It’s easy! There are only 4 things you really need to do.
- Change your cursor to a black cursor. In category view, select “Appearance and Themes”. Then, in the left column, click “Mouse Pointers”. In the “Pointers” tab, there is a drop-down box in the “Scheme” field. Select “Windows Black (system scheme)” in that section and click “OK”.
- Right click on your Taskbar and uncheck “Lock the Taskbar”. Click on the Taskbar (not with a resizing cursor) and drag the Taskbar to the top of the screen. Right click on the Taskbar again and check “Lock the Taskbar” back.
- Download Aquadock. Do have a dock on your Windows machine, download Aquadock from this link at PC World’s website. Download and install this program. Read the Readme and configure your dock how you’d like.
- The BrentIrwin.tv Aqua OSX 10.4 Desktop makes it perfect! Currently, there are only two resolutions of this desktop. Download the 1280×800 (16:10) version. Download the 1280×1024 (4:3) version. In the future, I will add a full-sized 2560×1600 (16:10) desktop and a 1440×900 (16:10) also. If you are unsure of which you should use, your screen is probably 1024×768 (4:3). The 1280×1024 (also 4:3) version should work just fine.
Enjoy your newly Mac-ified Windows Desktop!
