Okay, let’s take a look at this new search engine sensation called “Cuil”. Nobody likes it. Everyone’s calling it junk. You can’t even SPELL Cuil without messing up the first few times! The real important thing is how well it performs my vanity search. First, though, let’s look at Google’s results. Click on any of the photos to see them full-size

6 answers on the front page, including the first entry, are actually me. They’re all relevant to what I’m doing nowadays. Now, let’s see Yahoo.

Yahoo turned up with 6 entries for me on the front page. 3 of them definitely aren’t relative to what I do regularly, though. Now, let’s see how Cuil is doing…

In Cuil, none of the categories are about me. There is my explore.twitter.com page (which no one even ever uses for ANYBODY). There is my Twittervision page, useless. Then there are 4 Twitter posts from months ago. So Cuil actually does tie with Google and Yahoo. in how many entries show up for me. However, it loses, because there is not a single post that is relevant to me. No one would ever need to know any of these sites. Cuil is officially a dumb search engine. My rating, 0.

I was streaming on www.BTVlive.net and found that there was a wasp in my kitchen. So what did I do? I recorded it of course! The video is really funny. At least the people in the chat room thought it was. I was more scared than excited, but in hindsight, it’s hilarious!

Well, it looks as though I reached the point where I’m going away form this computer for a while. BY saying that, I mean I’m goin to my grandparents’ house for 3 nights. I’ll wake up there on my birthday and come home and get my new MacBook. Tonight, my goal is to make DVDs and a jump drive of all the files I want to move over to the new computer. Well, I’ve done that now.

So tomorrow morning will be the last time I use Windows as my primary platmorm. However much I dislike Windows and prefer Mac, it’s a little sad knowing I’m only coming back to my PC to play The Sims 2. Oh, that reminds me! I’m possibly going to be using Windows to record Skype calls until the end of this month when Call Graph for Mac alpha is “released”. I’m very proud to use this program’s “alpha” (as I call it) versions. There is another option for Skype recording on Mac that seems a little complicated, but it allows you to record in GarageBand. I might be looking at that option instead.

But, I’m very happy to become a Mac person Monday. I’ve been saving up for who knows how long, and I’m finally going to get it! I am going to get teh $1299 standard MacBook and an Airport Extreme Base Station. It’ll be great!

It turns out I am going to be spending the weekend with my grandparents the weekend of my birthday (July 7). Then, my grandpa is going to bring me to the Apple Store. He is going to get an iMac while I get my MacBook. That means I won’t have access to the internet the night of July 6. I would like to know when the best time to reschedule the show would be. So, leave a comment on this post or reply to my plurk about the subject: http://www.plurk.com/p/u1uo. I’m sorry if this is an inconvenience. I don’t have to go to my grandparents if Chris was “counting on me” to do the show, but I’d like to reschedule it if possible. Maybe the next Sunday at the same time (July 13 8pm)?
